New at the Hôtel du Château!
Hello to all our readers!
A lot has happened at the Hôtel du Château since our last publication. We are always looking for improvement, we take into account customer opinions and look for good sources of inspiration.
First of all, during our annual closure, we changed the carpet on our stairs and landings in order to add a visual touch and change from the simple plain carpet.
Then we changed our curtains in some rooms for more color and also to have a more personal decoration. Opinions on Instagram and Facebook were evenly divided: one network preferred blue, the other yellow!
Continuing on, we added bed throws with the same patterns and colors as the new curtains so that we no longer have all-white beds.
Our most recent big change is a long-standing project...the installation of electrical terminals in our parking lot! As electric cars become more popular, this was an important point for us, being one of the rare hotels with private parking in the city center of Caen. The terminals will soon be ready for use to the delight of our customers at the height of modernity!

The city pass allows you access to the essentials of Caen for a period of 24 hours , 48 hours or even 72 hours, but also to benefit from reductions in a certain number of shops and partner restaurants as well as on access to certain tourist sites .

Upgrading to 3 stars
We are proud to announce our upgrade to 3 stars.
Our past projects were aimed at improving the comfort of our establishment and adding my personal touch.
After the completion of our various projects, such as the work on our facade or the work on our last rooms, obtaining these 3 stars is a great honor for us.

New Room
The continuation of our projects,
After the work on our facade, we continued our adventure by renovating 8 rooms located on the 1st and 2nd floors.
We have redone different categories such as our double comfort rooms, our Twin/Triple rooms but also a family room.
In 2021, we started the project with the help of our suppliers for the choice of furniture.
We started the work at the end of 2021 during the low season, this allowed us to carry out the work little by little.
His works allowed us to add our personal touch and we are happy to be able to make you discover them.
We wanted to finish the work with the high season 2022, so that you can enjoy these new rooms.

We are happy to show you our new facade with its sign and its changes.
We started the project in October 2020. It was carried out in collaboration and with the help of the city and our suppliers.
Then we submitted our authorization request in April 2021. After two months it was validated and we were able to place an order with work starting in June 2021.
We finished this work in September 2021.

Works
After all these years we wanted change and new things.
Our project began during the first confinement, the idea was to recreate a more modern and sober storefront.
Several ideas were proposed to us, but a choice had to be made. After much thought, our choice is made and the adventure can begin.
The second confinement slowed down our project, but we were able to start work.
In mid-May, we began the adventure by dismantling the canopies from the entire facade. Rather complicated, to get to the 4th floor. We used a cherry picker to be able to dismantle everything.
Our project continued with the dismantling of the front door. Which has given way to an electric door for more comfort and to make it easier for you to arrive with your suitcases.
After all this dismantling, there was a need for new things. After validation with the city of Caen, a new, more modern and sober sign was installed.
This project was close to our hearts, to create a facade in our image.
It's up to you to come and discover all its new features, which we hope you will like.

Around ten restaurateurs offer takeaway meals.
They are present at Place de la République and Boulevard du Maréchal-Leclerc from Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
